The health of our client families and our employees has always been a priority; it is even more so today based on the national emergency concerning COVID-19.

Based on the recommendations and guidelines provided by the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association, we are implementing an action plan that may impose limits on certain requests as they relate to funeral and memorial services.

As always, we will do everything in our power to ensure the life of a loved one is honored and remembered in a dignified manner. Be assured we will handle each family's request individually and will do all we can to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

At Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home and Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, we are dedicated to helping you meet all of your funeral needs. Whether you are pre-planning or planning at need, we will gently guide you through all the necessary decisions to assure your loved one’s funeral is unique and meaningful. We will honor your individual requests to provide a memorable celebration of life for your loved one.

The families we serve have many different options available to them.  Our staff’s goal is to help you make informed decisions during this difficult time. Our funeral homes offer traditional and non-traditional services as well as cremation. We respect all faiths and ethnic backgrounds. When the funeral ends, our services continue with grief support counseling to help your family deal with its loss.

We also offer the following: 

  • Individual attention to specific wishes, customs or religious considerations 
  • Military honors if requested 
  • Assist family in contacting churches, newspapers, insurance company, etc., at no additional cost 
  • Obtain and file all necessary legal documents, including social security, veteran’s benefits and death certificate, also at no additional cost 
  • Both facilities have ample parking and are handicapped accessible
