Gary is survived by his loving wife of 34 years and best friend Beth Kaffenbarger Brooks, sons Jacob (Nicole) Brooks and Zachary Brooks, grandchildren Brighton Brooks, Riku Miller, Brielle Brooks, Rylan Brooks, and Oliver Brooks, siblings Carol (Tollman) Smith, John Brooks, Ginny (Bud) Davis, and Brenda (Daniel) Sherrock, sibling-in-laws Carolyn (Butch) Grimm,  Linda (John) Turner, Nancy (Terry) Circle, Kenneth (Jean) Kaffenbarger, and Kris (Chris) Kaffenbarger, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
