Zanada "Eloise" McDavid, 87, of Springfield died September 20, 2018 in her residence. She was born in Weeksbury, KY on July 19, 1931 the daughter of the late John H. and Sadie (Swords) Skiles. Eloise was a member of the Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church. She graduated from Clark State Community College with a major in accounting, which she did so after raising her four children. Eloise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the matriarch of her family and a diehard Kentucky Wildcats fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading books, and being outside in the sunshine. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 60 years, Donald McDavid whom she married April 24, 1954. Eloise is survived by her daughter, Tondalaya (Robert) Tackett; sons Paul, Cary (Wendy) and Boo McDavid; grandchildren Chris Hendricks, Bridget (Michael) and Nick Tannenbaum, Chris (Ashly) and Eric Tackett, Amanda (Vaughn) Rodgers, Keisha (Mike) and Krystal McDavid, Kevin Walker, Christina (Craig) Stabler, Anna-Marie (Josh) Stoddard, Cary Jr. (Libby) McDavid; great-grandchildren Shae, Kyler, Cayden, Westley, Mason, Brayden, Harper, Henley, Juliet, Arabella, Emmalin, Adaleigh, Jocelynn, Bella and Patrick; great-great-granddaughter Baylie; brothers Gary (Julinia) Skiles and Billy Paul (Lily) Skiles; sisters-in-law Gladys Skiles, Carol Skiles, Phyllis Wade, Burieti (Earl) McCoy and Beverly (Ollie) Wright; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by grandson Patrick Hendricks; siblings: Betty, Bobby, Donny Jay, Narva Dean, Merrilee, Clester, Daniel "Jerrol", Ronald, Johnny Ray and Larry; six sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law and very special niece, Angel Skiles. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM. in Forest Valley Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM. in the church with Pastor Del Wallace officiating. Interment to follow in Ferncliff Mausoleum. The family is being served by RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Memorial contributions may be made in Eloise’s name to Ohio’s Community/Mercy Hospice.
