William "Billy" Pugh

William “Billy” Pugh, passed away on January 15, 2026, at Urbana Rehabilitation Center, with his dog Ziggy and family by his side. Forget that he stumbled, forget the dark days. Remember the laughter, the sunshine-filled rays. He battled his demons, he stood in the light and found his own peace before the final night. Though his lungs grew weak, his spirit stayed strong, he’s finally found where he truly belongs. Billy was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Carol Pugh; sister Kathy Richards; nephew Marc Taylor; and great-grandma Elizabeth Stoffregan. He is survived by his sisters Debbie (Lee) Shelton, Vicky (Walt) Taylor, and Gena (Mark) Risner; brother-in-law Todd Richards; children James (Alix) Pugh, Christina (Xavier) Pugh, and Josh (Jessica) Pugh; grandchildren Isaiah Pugh, Kiana Lewis, Avondre Lewis, Conner Davis, McKenzie Pugh, and Addelyn Pugh; and several nieces and nephews. Billy chose to help educate the next generation of medical professionals by donating his body for study to Wright State University.
