William "Ick" Earl Hansgen

William “Ick” Earl Hansgen age 66 of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2024, at his residence.  He was born the son of Charles “Buzzard” & Carol (Zang) Hansgen on September 25, 1957, in Springfield, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Mark Hansgen.  Ick is survived by his children Andrew (Ashley) Hansgen of New Carlisle, Ann Hansgen of New Carlisle, Phil Parsons of Springfield, & Jessica Parsons of Springfield; longtime girlfriend Lisa Parsons; sisters Danita “Lil” (Joe) Cave, Jane (Chris) Barker, & Cindy (Rob) Dove; grandchildren Skyler Hansgen, Jada Hansgen, Gracie Fultz, Braxton Fultz, Xavier Marlowe, Andrew Thacker, Nolan Thacker, & Tristan “Willy” Thacker; special friend Ernie Whitehead.  Ick served his country proudly as a member of the United States Marine Corps.  He enjoyed smoking his cigarettes & watching television.  In his younger days he enjoyed helping his dad coach baseball.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
