Obituary for William Colin Cox
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Colin Cox, affectionately known as Bill, who departed this life on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 27, 1959, in England, Bill was a cherished resident of New Carlisle, Ohio.
A proud veteran, Bill served honorably in the British Army, where he demonstrated unwavering dedication and courage. His commitment to service extended beyond the military as he continued to protect and serve the public through his work with the emergency services for the London Underground. Bill's bravery during the Underground bombings earned him a prestigious certificate from Queen Elizabeth, a testament to his valor and selflessness.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Jennifer Cox, and his children, Hayden, Gary, David Cox, and Christine Patch, his siblings, Pete, Pat, Melanie, and Allen, as well as his sister-in-law, Alice Diamond-Conway, and brothers-in-law, Scott Lewis and Robert Lewis. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Peter & Rose Cox, his brother, Malcolm Cox, and father and mother-in-law, Ernest & Joan Lewis.
Bill's life was a testament of love, service, and dedication to his family and community. His warmth, humor, and steadfastness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
