William "Bill" R. Bolin

William “Bill” Bolin, 61, of Springfield, passed away at Springfield Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1965.

Bill is survived by his son, Jeremy (Brittany) Bolin; five grandchildren, Diatra, Brennen, Sophia, Colton, and Lillian; his siblings, Beverly (Keith) Bolin-Elliott, Rebecca (Karl) Hirtzinger, and Robert (Nancy) Bolin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Bolin; his parents, Robert and Mary Bolin; and his sisters, Bonnie Carandante and Patricia Bolin.

Bill’s love for Janet remained a cherished part of his life, and her memory continued to hold a special place in his heart throughout the years.

Bill enjoyed listening to audiobooks and watching WWE, finding enjoyment in the things he loved. These simple pleasures were a part of who he was and will remain among the memories cherished by those who knew him.

In honor of his final wishes, Bill chose to be an organ donor, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and hope. Through his selfless gift, he has given others the opportunity for a second chance, allowing his legacy to live on through those he has helped. Though his passing leaves a profound loss for his family and loved ones, his final act of giving serves as a lasting reminder that even in the midst of loss, life and hope can continue. Bill’s legacy will live on not only in the hearts of those who loved him, but also in the lives he has touched through his final gift.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
