Willetta Grace Mundy

Willetta Grace Mundy, 93, of Springfield, OH joined the angels on June 3, 2019. She was born on July 25, 1925. Willetta was the daughter of the late Willis and Ethel Benning. In addition to her husband, Henry (Gar), she has reunited with her brother Willis "Jack" Benning, sisters Ethel Marie Arnold, Emma "Lou" Hart and sons William "Bill" and John Mundy in heaven.

Willetta and her husband proudly owned and operated Mundy’s Market in Springfield for 50 years and the Gem Tower Motel in Clearwater Beach, FL for 17 years.

But family was the most important part of Willetta’s life. She was a dedicated mother to four children Bill, John (Vicki), Cathy, and Nancy (Chris) and also raised three grandchildren (Jim, Rob, and Lettie). She proudly listed her ever-growing family at every opportunity, "I have 12 grandchildren, (Jim, Rob, Lettie, Bryan, Todd, Kelly, Melissa, Kimmy, Jason, Julia, Meredith and Evan); 21 great grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way." She will also forever be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Willetta was a faithful Christian, praying each night for all of her loved ones. Most of her conversations would end with the words, "God Bless You."

A celebration of Willetta’s precious life will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church (400 Villa Rd, Springfield, OH).
