Virgil E. Bays, Jr. (Eddie)

Age 68 of New Carlisle passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence. He was born the son of Troy & Julia Finley on December 30, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Sarah Bays; sister Donna Collins. Virgil is survived by his daughters Julia "Kim" Downing of New Carlisle, & Kary (Rick) Burlile of Medway; brothers Troy & Clifton Finley; sisters Wilma (Bill) Bullock & Alisha Looper; grandchildren Lauren Duncan, Brock Downing, Brynn Burlile, & Grant Burlile; special family Debra & Rick Brandt; several nieces, nephews, and friends; dog Luke. Virgil was a loving dad, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all of those who love him. Virgil was a retired car salesman. In his free time he enjoyed watching Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon, flea markets, classic car auctions & fishing. However, he enjoyed spending quality with his family most of all. Friends may call on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 5PM – 7PM at the Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene 4400 Osborn Rd. Medway, Ohio 45341. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 1PM at New Carlisle Cemetery with Garnell Crawford Officiating.
