Vernon Dale "Bub" Jenkins, Jr.

Vernon Dale "Bub" Jenkins, Jr., 42, of Springfield passed suddenly on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. He was born September 30, 1977 in Springfield, the son of Vernon Dale, Sr. and Sue Jenkins. Bub was a good son, father and husband. He loved life and was an avid Pokémon player. Bub will be sadly missed by his family. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. Bub is survived by his wife Heather; parents Vernon, Sr. and Sue Jenkins; sons Gaven, Luke and Damian; daughter Krisy; grandchildren Vivian "Midget" and unborn baby girl Valkyrie "Villain"; four brothers; two sisters; oldest nephew Brian Jenkins; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 6-7 PM in Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial with the service to honor Bub beginning at 7:00 PM, with Jeremy Hudson officiating. The service will also be live streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page beginning at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
