Vernie Lee Highmiller

Vernie Lee Highmiller age 68 of Springfield passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Willard & Audrey Marie (Richardson) Nelson on December 29, 1952 in Ravenna, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Floyd Richardson, John Nelson, & Willard Daniel Nelson; sisters Christene Gilliam, Ethel May Nelson, & Virginia May Nelson. Vernie is survived by her son Russell A. Highmiller of Springfield; daughters Susan Highmiller of Springfield; Amanda May (Dale) Wilson of Springfield; sister Mary Maynard; grandchildren Daven, Zavier, & Kaiya Wilson. Vernie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister & friend. She will be missed by all of those who love her. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, making jewelry, & crocheting. However, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family especially during the holidays. Due to a family emergency, services have been postponed to a later date.
