Verna M. Brening

Verna M. Brening, 88, of Springfield passed away Friday, August 23, 2019. She was born August 9, 1931 in Pine Grove, OH the daughter of Thurman and Ida Jeffery (Harris) Johnson. Mrs. Brening worked for Olan Mills and retired from Ohio Thermometer. She is survived by her daughter Gretchen S. Bayless; daughter-in-law Kathy M. Brening, both of Springfield; brother J.C. Johnson; sisters Evelyn Webb and Judy Higgenbotham; three grandchildren Jessica (Kenny) Belles, Casey (Alex) Fyffe and Zach Bayless; three great grandchildren Zander, Ellie and Colten; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Jay Brening; son Mitchell Brening; son-in-law Bob Bayless; and nine siblings. Visitation will Tuesday from 5 – 6 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 6:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating.
