Thomas E. Tibbs

Thomas E. Tibbs, 70, of Huber Heights, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was born in Litchfield, IL, the son of the late Virgil Tibbs and Perry Rupay. Tom was a proud steelworker, with over 30 years at Duriron/Flowserve Foundry. He was a member of United Steelworkers Union and Sulphur Grove UMC. His passions were his grandkids, yardwork and the Cleveland Browns. Tom is survived by his wife of 19 years Johnnie R. Tibbs; son Danny (Rhonda) Tibbs; daughters Crystal (Jay) McCurry, Sandra (Douglas) Milby, Janice (Matthew) Smithhhart, Joyce (Kim) Robinson and Malisa (Thomas) Helenberger; brother Robert Tibbs; sisters Linda (Sherrell) McAdams, Cheryl Robin Moore and Kimala (Rick) Blair; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, 7505 Taylorsville Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.
