Thomas Eugene Smith

Thomas Eugene Smith, 68, of Springfield, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. He was born June 17, 1952 in Springfield, the son of the late George, Sr. and Emogene Smith. Thomas loved to work with wood and make homemade bread. He collected clocks and always enjoyed visiting with his family especially his nephews. Thomas also enjoyed Westerns and walking in the woods. He is survived by his sisters Dora Pennywitt, Lottie (Thomas) Bennett and Gloria (Jerry) Massie; brother George Eldon (Darlene) Smith, Jr.; half-sister Cheryl Ann; half-brother David Frost; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service to honor Thomas will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
