Thomas M. Lyons, Sr.

Lyons, Thomas M., 70 of Springfield passed away September 2, 2021. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 30, 1951, the son of Willie and Stella Lyons. Tom was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of the Springfield Free Will Baptist Church. Tom loved to sing bluegrass gospel and has sung in many churches and nursing homes in the area. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing his guitar. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Tom was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Stella; sons Joshua (Leola) Lyons, Joseph Lyons and Thomas M. Lyons, Jr.; grandchildren Jalynn (Shawn) Gregg, Kaitlinn Lyons and Sean Blazes Lyons and his fur buddy Kitty. Services to honor Tom will be Tuesday at 6:00PM in the Springfield Free Will Baptist Church 1825 Sunset Ave with Pastor Charlie Crider. Visitation will begin at 4:00PM.
