Suzanne M. Stapleton

Suzanne M. “Suzy” Stapleton, a cherished resident of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on September 3, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, Suzy was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Beverly Baker.

A proud graduate of Tecumseh High School's Class of 1971, Suzy spent her entire life in the welcoming embrace of New Carlisle. She was an active member of the community, having contributed her time to the New Carlisle Rotary and serving as a bookkeeper for several local small businesses. Suzy was known for her deep love and devotion to her family, particularly her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, whom she cherished deeply.

Suzy is survived by her loving children, Josh Stapleton and his wife Christine, and Beth Elliott and her husband Jason. She leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Connor Stapleton, Carter Stapleton, Kaden Elliott, and Brody Elliott, and her dear sisters, Marianne Freeland and her husband Roger, and Lou Ann Robinson and her husband Greg. She is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Suzy's remarkable life on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, with visitation occurring from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A service to honor Suzy will follow at 2:00 PM.
