STEPHEN CATE

66, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was born August 27, 1949 in Dayton the son of the late Kenneth & Jeanne (Marsh) Cate. He was a devoted Christian, retired CAD designer & played the upright bass in Blue Grass music. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Cate; children, Athina (David) Patrick, Nichi (Dave) Baker, Johnny (Lori) Bush, Eugene (Candy) Bush & Kathy (Mike) Brewer; grandchildren, Cali, Nathan, Jessica, Joshua, Brittany, Jennifer, Cole, Shane, Kayla, Jesse, Atosha, Paul & Morgan; great grandchildren, Johanna, Isaac, Chance, Alyssa, Abbey, Rylee & Mia; two sisters, Darleen Alkire & Cathy Sherman; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, K.D. Cate. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday, June 10, 2016 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral service at 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
