Sophia A. Shaffer

Sophia A. Shaffer, 80, of New Carlisle went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 12, 2017. She was born March 3, 1937 in Garrett, KY, the daughter of the late Ellis and Dorothy Scott. Sophia was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Springfield. She is preceded in death by her husband Dane; brothers Jimmy and Rush Scott; and a sister Nora Wooten. She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth Edwards; step-son Eugene Shaffer; step-daughter Victoria Shaffer; sisters Margie (Owen) Burrows and Dora (Elmer) Steinbarger; brothers Lotsie , Richard and Charles Scott; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 10-11 AM in the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 2500 Fowler Rd., Springfield, OH 45502, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM in the Church.
