Shelby E. "Geno" Parks

Parks, Shelby E. "Geno", 83 of Springfield passed away February 20, 2020 I his residence. He was born on October 18, 1936 in Springfield, the son of Floyd and Cora Lee (Brooks) Parks. Geno retired from the Springfield Warehouse. He and his wife Lou owned Pleasant Corner Café since 1975. Geno was a member of the Union and Machinist clubs. In his spare time enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving race car. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lou Ellen; sisters Della, Norma, Opie; brothers Dexter, Roy; sons Ricky and Michael Parks. Survivors include his children Sonja (Donald) Preston, Randy Parks, Celina Parks. Stepchildren Roland (Marcia) Rose, Linda (Richard) Summers, Debbie (Tim) Hull, Theresa (Pete) Barbarino. Brother Donald (Sue) Parks; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at Noon in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00AM.
