Runyan, Ronald E., 67 of Springfield passed away August 20, 2017. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on February 14, 1950, the son of Waldo and Rose Runyan. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Ron retired as a Union Steward with 30 years of service from Navistar. He was a proud member of Local 402, VFW Post 1031 Life Member and AMVets 25. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rosie; brother Waldo "Larry". Survivors include his wife Angela (Routzahn) Runyan; daughters Kimberly & Richard Hoberty and Veronica & Todd Keyser; step children Stephanie & Bryan LaPlant, Brian & Tracy McKnight and Jamie & Laura Arnold; sisters Sue & David White, Diane & Curtis Fuller and Karol Wolfe; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with VFW Post 1031 memorial service will be at 7:45PM. Services to honor Ron will be Wednesday at 1:00PM in the Memorial Home with Pastor Walter Mock officiating. Burial to follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project
