RONALD W. MANEMANN
86, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Monday, September 24, 2018. Ron was born November 25, 1931, in Dubuque, Iowa, one of 10 children. He married Kathaleen McKenzie in 1953; she preceded him in death in 1961. Ron married Jane Bayes in 1964 and moved to New Carlisle in 1966. Survivors are his wife, Jane and 4 children; Rex & Val (granddaughter Emily), Roger and Debby, Robby and Yukie (granddaughter, Erika) & Rhonda. Ron served 9 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force and 5 years reserve duty. Ron's Fire Department service was important to him over a span of 50 years, he was a Fire Instructor, ACLS Instructor & CPR Instructor. He restored many Antique fire equipment pieces leading to the creation of the Honeycreek Fire Museum. His service to New Carlisle covered, City Council, Planning Board & Health Board. He was a Sertoma-Life Membrer, Flying Angels-Life Member, Wheelman Member (antique Bicycle Club, Dayton Air Show manager for Homebuilt aircraft (Wright Brothers Awards), Host family for International Students. He loved to travel (visited 43 countries). Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday, September 28, 2018, at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
