It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Bishop Ronald Coleman, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faith leader, who was called to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at the age of 91. Ronald was born on Friday, February 8th, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, and resided in Vandalia, Ohio. Ronald is survived by his cherished children: Rhonda (David) Moses, Jeni (Jesse) Waites, Bill Coleman, John (Alana) Coleman, and Missy (John) Waites. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Margaret Greenwood, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; many extended family members and a host of church family who loved and admired him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Joyce Coleman, his parents, William R. and Beryl Coleman, his brother Rodger Coleman, granddaughter Victoria “Tori” Fugate, and infant great-great-granddaughter Celeste Hope Smith. Ronald was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and served as the pastor of New Life Church in Dayton, Ohio, from 1976 to 2006. For many years, Bishop Coleman dedicated his life to serving God and his people with unwavering conviction, compassion, and humility. His life touched countless individuals, and his legacy of faith will continue to inspire generations to come. In his leisure time, Ronald found joy in playing his guitar and writing music, with some of his songs being published. Above all, he treasured spending quality time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at New Life Church, Dayton, OH, on Monday, July 6th, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Tom Friend officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy and memories may be shared at trostelchapman.com. Ronald Coleman's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to his faith, family, and the community he served so diligently. May he rest in eternal peace.
