Robin H. Rumery

Robin H. Rumery, 56, of Springfield passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 9, 2018 in her home. She was born December 27, 1961 in Springfield the daughter of Robert and Betty (Brown) Hawkins and was a 1980 graduate of Shawnee High School. Robin graduated from the Community Hospital School of Radiology and began a thirty year career as a Radiology Technician and Nursing Assistant, spent mostly at Community Hospital and several local medical practices. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid tennis player in her younger years. Robin is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Dale R. Rumery; one son Capt. Zachary R. Rumery, United States Air Force; a brother Ronald (Judy) Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be Friday from 5 – 8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Robin’s life will be Saturday at 12 Noon in First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery.
