Robert Edward Williamson Jr. ("Bob"), February 1, 1945 – July 29, 2026

Robert Edward Williamson Jr., affectionately known as "Bob," was born on February 1, 1945, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Robert Edward Williamson Sr. and Mary Trego. As the oldest of five children, Bob entered the world while his father was stationed in Missouri with the United States Army during World War II. The family later settled in Millerstown, Ohio, where Bob graduated from Graham High School with the Class of 1963.

Following high school, Bob proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. After his military service, he began his career at Steel Products in Springfield, Ohio, before joining Delco Moraine, where he worked as a skilled machinist until his retirement in 2000.

Bob married Patricia Ann Fritts in 1969, and together they built a family in New Carlisle, Ohio. He is survived by his three children: Robert "Bob" Williamson III (Nancy), Chris Williamson, and Amber Shoemaker (Tony). He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Bobby, Allison, Maggie, Michael, Katelyn, and Conner, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

Bob was the beloved oldest sibling of Jimmy, Tom, Jack, and Linda. Throughout his life, he was known as a hardworking man who valued family, dedication, and quiet strength. He took pride in providing for those he loved and leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, integrity, and devotion.

If you knew Bob, you knew where his heart was. He had a lifelong passion for fishing and especially enjoyed crafting his own fishing lures and baits. Whether he was on the water or in his workshop creating the next perfect bait, fishing brought him great joy. Bob also loved a good game of cards and was a familiar face at the American Legion, where he volunteered by organizing and leading many of the fish fries that brought the community together. He could often be found stopping by in the evenings to "get his numbers," catch up with friends, and share a story or a laugh. Those simple moments and lifelong friendships meant the world to him.

Bob's memory will be forever treasured by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love and example will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, from 6-8pm at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor Bob will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, OH.
