Robert H. Salyers, Jr.

Robert H. Salyers, Jr., 66, of South Vienna passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, after a two and a half year battle with cancer. He was born February 1, 1954 in Springfield, the son of the late Robert H. Sr. and Roberta Salyers. Bob retired from Northwestern Local School where he worked as custodian. He is a member of First Christian Church and the NRHA. Bob loved training horses, hunting with his sons and worked as a farrier until his cancer diagnosis. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Terry Salyers. Bob is survived by his wife of 12 years Nancy L. Salyers; sons Zack, Nick, Collin and Levi Salyers; daughter Jessica (Jeff) Salyers; step-son Cory Hawkins; step-daughter Haley Hawkins; sisters Patty (Geno) Craycraft and Robin (Larry) Heeg; grandchildren Bryson, Logan, Lexie, Audrey and Gracie; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The funeral service to honor Bob will be held Tuesday at 7:00 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home.
