RICHARD E. WENGER



96, formerly of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 in Springfield, Ohio. He was born September 7, 1921 in Findlay, Ohio the son of the late Floyd & Eula (Wohlgamuth) Wenger. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran. He received his Masters from Ohio State University and retired from Tecumseh Local Schools. He was a member and Lector at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle. He is survived by two sons, Lowell (Emily) Wenger & Terry (Kristi) Wenger; two daughters, Sharon Clifton & Cindy Wenger; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Wenger; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Angela (Meyer) Wenger in 1987; grandson, Eric Wenger; two sisters, Eileen Swank & Roberta Amstutz. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 476 N. Scott St., New Carlisle, Ohio 45344.
