Richard L. Tilson

Richard Leonard Tilson age 88 of Yellow Springs, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Springfield Regional Medical Center.  He was born the son of Leonard & Mary (Molnar) Tilson on December 31, 1936, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  He is preceded in death by his parents; son Richard Tilson; 2 brothers Edward & Charles Tilson.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife Lucille of 68 years; daughter Katherine (Michael) Mcenaney; granddaughter Ashley Conley; 4 great grandchildren Tristan, Hunter, Jimmy & Chloe; 1 great great granddaughter Everly; several nieces, nephews & a host of friends.  Richard was a proud member of the United States Air Force & later worked as a civilian at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until his retirement.  For many years he was a faithful member at Enon United Methodist Church where he served as an usher.  Richard believed in service above self and was a Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America Enon #17.  He enjoyed camping, traveling to state parks, family vacations & cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes & Cleveland Browns.  Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  Friends may call on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11AM to 12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E.
