Richard A. Robison, Sr., 82, of Springfield passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 20, 2018. He was born July 6, 1936 in Urbana the son of Richard K. and Bessie B. (Herdman) Robison. Richard retired from Navistar-International with fifty years of service. He was an avid tennis player and snow skier into his 70’s and belonged to the Eagles, Elks, Moose and Union Club. Richard loved his kids and grandkids. He is survived by three sons Richard A. (Monalisa) Robison, Jr. of Springfield, Anthony J. (Tami) Worthen of Columbus, and Roger Todd Worthen of Springfield; a sister Nancy A. Ross of San Diego, CA; his very special lady friend Cindy Snow; eleven grandchildren Anthony Robison, Shelly Robison, Brandy (Brandon) Wicinski, Kerri (Anthony) Parkison, Jessie (Jason) Tingley, Katie Worthen, Abby (Tom) Stevens, Megan (Riley) Baldwin, Kara (Alex) Nave, Carter Holt and Christopher (Angela) Worthen; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Evelyn Robison; sister Founta J. Castle; children Terri (Robison) Dotson and Guy Christopher Worthen. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 -8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Richard’s life will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Jeffrey Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
