Richard “Dick” W. Might age 93 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Springfield Masonic Community. He was born the son of Walter E. & Elsie M. (Lewis) Might on June 19, 1932, in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Roberta A. “Bobbie” Might; second wife Louise Barch-Might; brother Dr. James Might. He is survived by his loving children Richard “Rick” Might of Troy & Deborah “Debbie” Might of Springfield; grandchildren Dreu Colwell, Jodi Stooksberry & Keli Criner; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family along with a host of friends. Richard proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and Army Reserve. He later went on to work for Ohio Edison. He started at the Mad River Plant, then transferred to the Tree Trimming Division and finally, for the majority of his career, worked as a Lineman. He retired after 43 years as a Line Foreman. Dick belonged o H.S. Kissell Lodge No. 674 for more than 50 years. During that time he became a 32nd degree Master Mason. Dick was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of Springfield. He was an avid bowler and golfer; participating in a number of different leagues during his lifetime. He was a craftsman and highly skilled wood worker; able to build or fix just about anything. Dick was a loving and understanding father; always willing to listen and help whenever he could. He was a doting, affectionate grandfather who truly loved and enjoyed his grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family would like to express its gratitude for the compassionate, thoughtful and professional care provided by Masonic Assisted Living staff and Ohio Valley Hospice staff. In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made in Richard’s name to Springfield Masonic Community. Friends & family may call on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 11AM -12PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. HIGH St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will begin at 12PM. Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
