EISNAUGLE, Richard E. age 70, passed away at his home in New Carlisle, Ohio on Sunday, February 15th , 2026.
He is the proud son of Pearl Harbor veteran, Harlan C. Eisnaugle, and his wife, Anna Mae (Grimm) Eisnaugle. Rick is survived by his sister, Debra Eisnaugle (Ali Golafshan), in Beavercreek and his brother James C. Eisnaugle, in New Carlisle and his beloved cat Lacey.
Rick was born and raised in New Carlisle, Ohio and graduated from Tecumseh High School, class of 1973. He worked most of his career at Solaris Mold & Tool, the tool & die shop he started. He was a highly skilled mold maker/machinist. His hobbies included studying and building antique engines and machining center models.
He was a biking enthusiast, building and restoring bicycles along with riding many miles on the local bike paths. He was a member of the New Carlisle Sportsman Club and enjoyed shooting guns for sport and social activities. He had a keen interest in history, particularly WWII, and enjoyed traveling to museums and battlefields. Rick was a very self-reliant, honest man who deeply loved his family, friends and America.
In lieu of a service, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 12th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the American Legion located at 2251 N. Dayton-Lakeview Road, New Carlisle, Ohio 45344. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Rick’s memory to any of the following:
