Richard Lee Donahue

Richard Lee Donahue age 86 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024.  He was born the son of Robert & Frances (Kirkham) Donahue on September 22, 1937, in Springfield, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister & brother-in-law Diane (Terry) Morgan.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie of 24 years; daughters Kris (Brent “Butch”) Miles of Springfield, Shelly (David) Ratliff of Michigan, & Jodi (Rock) Powers of Marysville; grandchildren Matt, Katie, Kylee, Travis, Jammer, & Brianna; great grandchildren Brody, Luka, Noah, Mica, & Maxine; nephew Jim Morgan of Arizona; lifelong friend Bruce Lattimer.  Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  Richard had a strong work ethic & devoted many years of service to International Harvester.  Upon retiring from IH & becoming quite bored he went to work for Honda for an additional 8 years.  Richard had a passion for softball & ran a league for several years that was sponsored by Fischer Beverage Company.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, hickory jack hunting, watching football  & most of all spending quality time with his family.  Friends & family may call on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio from 10AM – 11AM where a funeral service will be held at 11AM with Rock Powers officiating.  Interment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
