Detrick, Richard Franklin, 88 of Enon passed away October 18, 2018 in the Sion Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on August 14, 1930, the son of the late Herbert and Julia Detrick. He served in the US Navy. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Fairborn. Richard retired as an Art and History teacher having taught at Roosevelt Middle School in Middletown and Hayward Middle School and Greenon High School. Survivors include his wife of 67 years Vivian G. Detrick; daughters Lorna G. (Michael) Biggert and Holly M. (Augustus) Mithoff; son Lance W. (Joanne) Detrick; grandchildren Augustus W. Mithoff IV, Grant (Kristen) Biggert, Sarah E. Biggert and Alexis J. Detrick; sister Shirley Jane (Leonard) Wilson; brother Donald (Delphiane) Detrick; brothers-in-law James A. Wilson, Lawrence E. (Isle) Wilson, Ronald V. (Deanna) Wilson and Deborah L. Horseman; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Services to honor Richard will be Monday at 11:00AM in the Memorial Home. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
