Richard L. Berner

Richard L. Berner age 82 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born the son of Forest L. & LuLu (Apple) Berner on October 16, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio.  He is preceded in death by his parents; grandsons Logan Gartin, & Andy Emmons.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife Pamela of 30 years; children David (Donna) Gartin, Rocky (Kim) Gartin, Robin (Mike) Alltop, Jimmy Gartin, Melanie Smith, Mary (Tony) Reed, Angie (Jeff DeLong) Berner, Bryan (Catie) Berner, Ronda (Charles) Mitchell, Sarah (James) Ryan; brothers Jim (Alice) Berner, George (Teen) Berner, Dave (Jerri) Berner, Daniel (Diane) Berner, & Henry Berner; sisters Patricia Wood, & Clara Griffin; grandchildren Justin G., Cailie, Misty, Marie, Sarah, Marcie, David, Brian, Ja’Nea, Jessica, Justin L., Andaya, Paula, Aidan, Nolan, Ronda, Charles, Gary, Madison, Tyler, & Aralyn; numerous great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, & a host of friends. Richard was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him. Richard was the proud owner of Berner’s Furniture & Appliances for 50 years.  He was loved by his loyal customers & was a true honest businessman.  Richard was a member of First Christian Church, & the Union Club.  He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, & camping with his family.  Friends may call on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5PM – 7PM at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 10AM.  Interment to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
