Rex H. Rowand

Rex Howard Rowand age 92 of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021. He was born the son of Ralph E. & Edith (Pagett) Rowand on October 5, 1928 in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents & niece Tracey Walter. Rex is survived by his brother Ron (Christy) Rowand of Florida; nephews Kent, & Frank Rowand; niece Judy Snodgrass; 8 great nieces & nephews. Upon completing his high school education, Rex attended Wittenberg University and later graduated from The Ohio State University. Rex was a member of the United States Army proudly serving with the 101st Airborne, he was also a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Springfield where he served as Deacon. Rex was an accountant by trade, and taught statistics at Wittenberg University & Wright State University, most recently he worked for the State of Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles until his retirement. A memorial Service will be held in Rex's honor on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11AM, in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio.
