Raymond Adkins, Sr.

Adkins, Sr., Raymond, 91 of Springfield went home to the Lord on February, 19, 2018. He was born in Wayne, West Virginia on July 5, 1926, the son of Golden and Dollie Adkins. Raymond served his country in the US Army. He retired from Teledyne Ohio Cast. Raymond never forgot his WV roots of mushroom and ginger root hunting. He enjoyed gardening, taking walks, bike riding. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife Delphia; brothers Earl, Glenn, Ernest, Hobert, Herman, Bernie and Gordon; sisters Marie. Survivors include his children Marylou (Chuck) Botkins, Raymond Adkins, Jr. and Pamela (William) Pollard; brother James Adkins; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services to honor Raymond will be Thursday at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Rose Hill Burial Park. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:30PM.
