Ralph J. Campbell, 88, of New Carlisle passed away Monday, September 18, 2017. He was born November 18, 1928 in New Carlisle to the late Phillip and Carrie Campbell. He retired from ITW Hobart Co. after 35 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of New Carlisle. Ralph was a past president of UAW retirees and volunteered at Bell Manor Nursing Home. Ralph and his wife Betty had received the New CarlisleSERTOMA Humanitarian Award for their dedication in serving the community. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty; and sister Nora Shively. Ralph is survived by his daughters Rita (Michael) Collins and Terry (Gary) Gerber; grandchildren Brian (Rachelle), Brandon and William Mendleson, Sean (Ashley) Collins, Kristina (Chris) Grider and Erin Raby; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service to honor Ralph will be Friday at 12:00 PM in Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
