Phillip Ronald Howard

Phillip Ronald Howard age 70 of Springfield, went home to his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  He was born the son of Donald E. & Esther (Cooper) Howard on May 17, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio.  Phillip is preceded in death by his parents; son Phillip Howard Jr. and Tyrone Patton; wife Rhonda Howard; brothers Wayne Anthony, Stephen Lee, & Daryl Howard; sisters Tina R. Storey, Kimberly Howard, & Tammy Furr. Phillip is survived by his beloved daughters Stephanie Spaulding & Lashelle Howard of Akron; Son Jason Howard of Akron;  step daughters Kristina (Terrance) Walker, & Zinna (Jordan) James, LaDrenda (Martin) Charles, Micheal (Amber) Hill, Peter Hill, and Bridgette Hill all of Springfield Ohio; brothers Michael (Iris) Howard of Springfield, Donald (Charmine) Howard of Springfield, Mark (Nancy) Howard of Springfield, Kenny Howard of Sidney, Brian (Michelle) Howard of Dayton, & Arnold (Ann) Howard of Springfield; sisters Roxann Whitmore of Arizona, & Mia (Steve) Davenport of Springfield; brother in law Paul Storey; Special friends Robert Wells, Debra Turner;  27 grandchildren, & 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & a host of friends.  Phillip was a loving father, grandfather, brother, & friend.  He will be missed by all of those who love him.  Phillip was a member of the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country.  Upon completing his military service, Phillip became a jack of all trades, & mainly enjoyed painting for folks in his community.  He was an avid sports fan, & often you could find him cheering on his Cleveland Browns, & The Ohio State Buckeyes.  Phillip was a family man & knew no stranger.  If you were going through a difficult situation Phillip’s famous quote was “Lean on Jesus”.  A memorial service will be announced at a later time.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com
