Patricia L. Wiseman

Patricia Lou Wiseman, age 93, passed away on August 30, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Gordon and Elizabeth (Evans) Mc Artor. She graduated from Grove City High School and began her college studies at Ohio State University. She concluded her studies at Rio Grande College (now University of Rio Grande) where she received her Bachelor or Science degree in Education. She enjoyed and was active in many campus organizations including the cheerleader squad for the Rio Grande basketball team. Patty started her teaching career at Fairborn City Schools with subsequent teaching positions at Jackson, Ohio, Oak Hill, Ohio, and Springfield City Schools, finishing her teaching career at Northwestern Local Schools. Teaching was a special joy for Patty and in 1973-74 she was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year at Northwestern Local Schools. Patty was a member of the Young Woman’s Mission and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in North Hampton, Ohio. She was a loving, caring, and selfless friend, mother, and wife. Pat always put family first. She will be missed by all who came to know her. In addition to her parents, Patty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Wiseman. She is survived by her caring sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne (Kim), Mark (Tammy) of Springfield, and Richard (Audrey) of Franklin, TN; grandsons: Tyler (Tiffany) of Greensboro, NC and Mitchell Wiseman of Franklin, TN; granddaughter, Dani Hawthorns; great grandson, Gage, of Springfield, sister, Barbara Leonard of Gahanna, and brother, Gordon (Lola) McArtor, of Springfield. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 11AM -12PM at Richards, Raff, and Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 East High Street, Springfield. To honor Patty’s request, a family graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Chapel. Friends and family are invited to join a reception at Windy Knoll Golf Club from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
