Norma J. Hoberty

Norma J. Hoberty, 80, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 11, 1937 in Springfield the daughter of George Keller, Jr. and Alice (Swan) Keller. Norma was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1955 at Northwestern High School and was a Homecoming Queen. Before retiring, she worked at Wren’s and Macy’s Department Stores, and was a Real Estate Agent for Minnick Realty and Link-Hellmuth Realty. Norma loved to take her family to the sandy beaches of Florida for vacation. She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Hoberty) Goss of Atlanta, GA, and Cindy (Mark) Smith of Springfield; sons Mark and Steve Hoberty of Springfield; brother George (Barbara) Keller of Springfield; eight grandchildren Megan (Nic) Staley, Lindsey, Kacey and Aidan Smith, Jeff (Rosa) Goss, Chelsea (Josh) Emerick, Christianne (Ethan) Herron and Jamie Goss; six great grandchildren; niece Krista Keller; nephews Jeff (Susan) Keller and Matthew Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry L. Hoberty in 1984. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 Noon – 1 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Norma’s life will be Saturday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home. Private interment in Ferncliff Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com.
