Nancy Lou (Rehmert) Riewerts, born March 4, 1937 in Union City Ohio, passed peacefully at Kettering Hospital in Dayton Ohio on April 9, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Riewerts Jr, her son, Michael Arnold Riewerts, her parents Mary (Snyder ) and Cletus Rehmert, brothers, Carl, Donnie, and Ralph, and her sisters, Margaret, Naomi, Arlene, Dorothy, and Virgie.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Riewerts Carine (Patrick) and Mary Plume (Dale), two brothers Marvin Rehmert (Charlotte), and David Rehmert (Cathy), ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, multiple nieces and nephews, many friends, and loving helpful neighbors, John, Chrissy, and Mark.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with her extensive family members. She was an active woman with a bowling league, Silver Sneakers at the YMCA, and could often be seen walking around the neighborhood. She was also an avid reader, often trading books with family and friends. She loved a good (or even bad) joke, laughing a wonderful laugh.
She worked as a secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until retirement, raising three children on her own after the death of her husband.
There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, May 2nd, beginning at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Carlisle Ohio, followed by a service at New Carlisle Cemetery. All are invited to a luncheon afterwards back at the church. All are welcome to all or any part. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home.
She will be sorely missed and we were blessed with her time here on earth.
