Mona Jean Skiles

Mona Jean Skiles, at 93, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2026. Mona was born on August 27, 1932, in Springfield, Ohio to the late James and Florence (McClary) Turner. Mona was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1031, Women’s Auxiliary, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 397, Women’s Auxiliary. Mona loved traveling with her friends, trips to casinos, family gatherings, and game nights. She looked forward to the almost daily visits and loving care provided by her granddaughter, Tammy Esthers. Mona leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Skiles; daughter, Laura Esthers; son, Mark (Sheri) McCall; daughter, Tracy (Daryl) Weber grandchildren: Joseph (Tammy) Esthers, Matthew Esthers, Brandon Esthers, Ashley (Sean) McCall, Liberty Ullian, and Elliot Weber; great grandchildren: Haylee (Rebekah) Esthers, David Esthers, Kalynn Knowles, Olive Ullian, Gage Ullian and Clementine Ullian; great- great grandson: Vincent Esthers; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mona was preceded in death by her brothers: Richard Turner and Arthur “Don” Turner. She will be deeply and lovingly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to Dr Ullah and the home healthcare nurses and therapists who provided care and support during the past two years; and a very special thank you to Julie. In accordance with Mona’s wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of her life may be held at a future date at the discretion of the family.
