Mildred Ray

Ray, Mildred, 94 of Springfield passed away June 19, 2019 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Harmony, Ohio on August 12, 1924, the daughter of Ralph and IVA Burbeck. Mildred had previously worked at the Drake Hotel as a front desk clerk. She was known as a fantastic baker especially her cinnamon rolls. Mildred loved to cook as well. She was well loved by many. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell L. Ray; sons Russell E. and Glen A. Ray; grandson Ryan Ray; siblings Doris Vanatta, twins Glenn and Gale Burbeck, Louise Eshelman and Virginia Casteel. Left to cherish her memory are her children Ralph (Arlene) Ray, Fred W. (Rose) Ray, Linda K. (Jerry) McClintock, Sandra R. (Harry) Gersh, Patricia D. Rosales and Tom L. Ray; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services to honor Mildred will be Tuesday at 2:30PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM in the Memorial Home. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
