Michael L. Jones

Michael L. Jones, 71, of Springfield Passed away July 1, 2017 at SRMC. He was born June 3, 1946 in Springfield to Frederick R. and Fern Marie (Powell) Jones. He loved fishing, wrestling and spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a Vietnam veteran and proudly served a tour in Vietnam. Michael was a devoted member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents. Michael is survived by his children Kathy Nicewaner, Chad (January) Reilley, and Diane Dee Frantz; Siblings Ronald (Claudia) Jones and Judy (Chuck) Hayes; Grandchildren Michael Nicewaner, Josh Nicewaner, Sarah Nicewaner, Cierra Reilley, Nicholas Reilley, Ethan Fick, and Falynn Fick. Great grandchildren Maiya, Nicole, Paetyn, Laila, and Madilynn, along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM at Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Services to honor Michael will be Thursday at2:00 PM at Grace Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
