Mazie L. Elam

Mazie L. Elam, 87, of New Carlisle, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was born November 1, 1933 in Lee County, VA, the daughter of the late Cade and Matilda Britton. Mazie is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Danny Elam, Sr.; brothers Billy and Cade Jr.; and sisters Mary Nell, Mildred and Inez. She is survived by her children Danny (Tammy) Elam, Jr., Pamela Elam and Rhonda (David) Young; sister Martha O'Conner; grandchildren Danny Elam III, Mitchell Elam, David Elam, Jonathan Elam, Tara Moore, Danny Charles Moore, Jacob Lapcevic, Danielle Anderson and Samuel Lapcevic; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral to honor Mazie will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 7:00 PM with visitation beginning at 6:00 PM at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home. A graveside service arranged by Shumate Funeral Home, will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro, KY.
