Mary Jean Garrett

Mary Jean Garrett age 95 of Huber Heights passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of Luther B. & Myrtle P. (Grubbs) Fultz on July 7, 1930, in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Herbert Dwight Garrett; son Gerald Garrett; siblings Daniel Fultz, Alvin Fultz, Dorothy Eileen Gault, Benny Fultz; sons in law Gary Hoctel, John Thomas & Ron Stacey. Mary is survived by her beloved children Douglas D. Garrett & daughter - in - law Rachel Garrett, Cynthia “Cindy” Hoctel, Cathie M. Thomas & Dori Stacey; grandchildren Michele, Scott, Heather, D.J., Jennifer & Tammy; 8 great grandchildren & 6 great – great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, & a host of friends. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother & friend. She will be missed by all of those who love her. Mary loved the holidays, especially the Christmas season when she would spend quality time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed laying out in the sun, working on puzzles & beating her family at a game of Yahtzee. Friends & family may call on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High St. Springfield, Ohio from 6PM – 8PM.
