Martha Anne Crouse

Martha Anne (Lane) Crouse, 97, of New Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. She was born March 12, 1929, in Washington Court House, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Crawford) Lane. Martha worked as a legal secretary, retiring from Faust, Fulker & Schlemmer. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ of Troy. Martha was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge with friends for many decades. She was so thankful for the memorial she made with her beloved friends but was most thankful for the many years and wonderful memories she had with her family. She considered it a special blessing to have lived long enough to meet and enjoy her only great-granddaughter, Cora, who made her smile every time they were together. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Walter LeRoy Crouse; brother Larry lane; sister and brother-in-law Michella “Mick” and James Stafford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Greg Nash; grandchildren Tyler K. (Anna) Nash and Jessica (Mark) Carpenter; great-granddaughter Cora; and niece Jane Marko. A graveside service to honor Martha will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00am at Riverside Cemetery of Troy.
