Martha Adams, 101, was reunited with her mother Nora in heaven on June 30th, 2025, at Oakwood Village, Springfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of William Martin Dixon and Nora Dixon (Jordan). Martha was one of 13 children, and she helped care for some of her younger siblings as a preteen. After high school she married. Once her children were school aged, Martha began her career as a manager with the Springfield Laundry. Later, after attending classes at Clark State, Martha began working in the City Income Tax office, retiring after more than 15 years of service. However, most of all, Martha was a loving mother to son Kent, and daughter Francine, and enjoyed being a favorite aunt to her sister Kathleen’s family who lived down the block. She is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Adams of Springfield, and Frances Foxbower of Savannah, Georgia, as well as one brother, Rev Donald Gene Dixon of Cincinnati. Martha is survived by daughter Francine Dyer (Larry, deceased) of Moneta, Virginia, and grandchildren Jennifer Goltzene, Jeff Adams, Kim Morgan, Kristina Shockley and Lauren Smith; also, five great grandsons, three great granddaughters, and one great-great granddaughter. Martha’s surviving brother is Rev. Donald Gene Dixon of Cincinnati and sisters, Kathleen Adams of Springfield, and Frances Foxbower of Savannah GA. Preceded in death by her parents and son Allen Kent Adams; also by brothers Bob Dixon, Arnold Dixon, Harry Prince, Fred Prince and Edward Prince.
