Marlin Ralph Tooker

Marlin R. Tooker, age 78 of Springfield, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born the son of Ralph Tooker & Lucy (Watson) Tooker McWilliams on May 27, 1947, in Springfield, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father & the dad who raised him Gerald W. McWilliams. Marlin is survived by his mother; children Sheila (Jerry) Mothersole, Todd Tooker & Brian (Misty) Tooker; sister Debra R. (Timothy) Mattern; brother Steven R. (Vickie) Tooker; grandchildren Jake (Jackie) Mothersole, Ashlynn (Michael) Witt, Jonathon Mothersole, Julia Mothersole, Sophia Mothersole, Kyle Tooker, Kaleigh Tooker, Kelsea Grise, Tyler Shunk, Alex Tooker, & Bailey Tooker; 9 great grandchildren & 1 on the way; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, along with a host of friends. Marlin was a proud graduate of Shawnee High School class of 1965. He was drafted by the United States Army where he proudly served his country. He was a dedicated employee of Clark - Shawnee Local School District where he retired as a bus mechanic. In his younger years he enjoyed drag racing, especially in his 1968 Camaro. In his spare time, you could always find him watching WHIO channel 7 news. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals & the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed watching Nascar & helping coach his kids sports team. Friends & family may call on Friday, January 16, 2026, at RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME 838 E. High Street Springfield, Ohio FROM 11AM – 12PM where a funeral service will be held at 12PM. Interment to follow in Grape Grove Cemetery.
