Doogs, Marilyn Jean, 87 of Springfield passed away November 30, 2017 in Villa Springfield. She was born in Marysville, Indiana on March 7, 1930, the daughter of Marvin A. and Martha Evelyn Bussey. Marilyn enjoyed raising her family and being a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and working in her flower beds. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Doogs; and sister Alma York. Survivors include her children Mickey (Jeff) Doogs, Brenda (Max) Anderson and Rhonda (Monte) Glass. brother Marvin A. Bussey; sister Carol Boley; grandchildren Wendy (Duane), Mike, Stacy, Jami, Derek and Bailee; eight grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her four-legged companion Trixie. Services to honor Marilyn will be Monday at 2:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will begin at Noon. Entombment to follow in Rose Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Animal Welfare League. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.richardsraffanddunbar.com.
