Marilyn J. Clarkson, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully on Monday, April 27th, 2026, in London, Ohio at the age of 72. Born on a crisp Christmas morning, December 25th, 1953, in Springfield, Ohio, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her throughout her life. Marilyn's legacy is carried on through her beloved children: daughters Tiffany Harris of Florida and Mindy (Zac) Burton of Springfield, and her son Matthew (Nicci) Clarkson, also of Springfield. She was the proud grandmother to Dakota, Dylan, Cameo, Lucas, Deacon, and Garrett, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Luna, her treasured grandpuppy and faithful K9 companion, will miss her dearly. She is survived by her sister, Diana (Joe) Szenay, and brothers Dana (Mel) Harris, who provided her with unwavering support and comfort, and Tom Harris. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by her kindness and zest for life. Marilyn was a woman of many passions. She found joy in the simple pleasures—traveling to the beach, camping under the stars, crafting with love, losing herself in music, and challenging loved ones to a friendly game of Monopoly or Scrabble. Her home was always filled with laughter, music, and warmth, especially when surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Wirt and Betty Harris, her dear husband, Scott Clarkson, her brother Justin Harris, and her best friend, Barb, whom she cherished deeply throughout her life. Marilyn's life will be celebrated through arrangements provided by the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. A celebration of life will be held on June 13, 2026 with more details provided later.
